About Goat Walkabouts Advocacy Days
At Goat Walkabouts, we invite you to step into the role of an advocate and caretaker for our rescued goats! Our Advocacy Days offer a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our sanctuary residents while connecting with these amazing animals. Here’s what to expect:
Volunteer Activities:
🐐 Goat Hoof Trimming: Learn the basics of hoof care and help maintain the health of our goats. 🧹 Mucking Enclosures: Help clean and refresh the goats’ living spaces to ensure a comfortable and hygienic environment. 🪮 Brushing & Bonding: Spend time grooming and socializing with the goats—an experience both you and the goats will love! 🩺 Health Inspections: Assist in wellness checks to monitor and assess the goats' overall health.
Our Advocacy Days are about more than just volunteer work—they're about learning, connecting, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of these rescued goats. Whether you're a first-time volunteer or a seasoned goat lover, your support goes a long way in ensuring our goats thrive in a safe and loving environment.
Much Love & Happy Hooves, ~ Goat Walkabouts

About Our Advocacy Day at Skal Farm
Join us for a hands-on Advocacy Day at Skal Farm in Golden, a charming micro-farm lovingly run by Kelley and Noelle. Home to a small herd of our rescued goats, along with chickens and a turkey, this special space offers the perfect setting to connect with animals and nature.
During this visit, we focus on compassionate animal husbandry, including brushing, bonding, and hoof trimming—a vital part of keeping our goats healthy and happy. It’s a meaningful way to contribute to their care and learn more about the daily routines that support rescue and rehabilitation.
Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or joining us for the first time, your presence helps us continue our mission of animal advocacy and well-being. Come prepared to get your hands dirty, make new friends (goat and human alike), and be part of something deeply rewarding.

All proceeds from our programs directly fund rescue efforts, rehabilitation, and therapy initiatives for seniors, special needs communities, PTSD clients, children’s education programs, and more.
