Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and founder of Denver’s Aud-Art label, Johnny Jitters creates electronic music in perpetual search of the unobtainable next. His work shifts between complex systematic forms and therapeutic exploration, crafting intricate IDM and ambient soundscapes as both Johnny Jitters and Rainsleep across two decades of discovery. As Johnny Jitters, he constructs pattern-based compositions where glitch, dub, and downtempo converge into hypnotic nocturnal architectures. Albums like Saturation Index and Dunes reveal computational precision balanced with emotional resonance. His Rainsleep project pursues quieter territories. The 2023 album Coalesce offers weightless ambient meditations that blur memory and atmosphere. Beyond solo production, Jitters has organized events and curated releases through Aud-Art since 2004, championing experimental voices and fostering community at the intersection of ambient techno, braindance, and leftfield electronica. His practice embraces music as integrative feedback between human intuition and technology, an ongoing negotiation between systematic design and self-serving exploration.
