Considering the incident that occurred with Baseck and his crew, and Thrasher’s travel issues, neither artist will be able to perform; we are updating the flyer for the Brain Rot party upcoming on March 22nd. Doormouse will be out, local artists will be not changing, and we will be focusing our energy, hearts and minds on a fund-raising effort for the humans affected by the accident that Baseck was involved in a couple weeks ago.

In addition to the party on the March 22nd, we will be having a special live radio show at the record shop that will include a merch table, autographs, fanboying with the legend that is Doormouse; a donation box will be set up for both the radio show and the event otherwise you can follow this link.

Fundraiser by IRIS ESCOBAR : For Baseck, We Hold the Light – He Needs Us Now
BASECK NEEDS US 💔

"A few days ago, while driving to Oklahoma to begin a new chapter with his love, Micaela, everything changed in an instant. Derrick was a victim of a horrific car accident that took the life of a really close friend, Láwû—someone deeply important to him, someone irreplaceable. He survived the crash with minor injuries, but the weight of this trauma is beyond words, and the road ahead will be long. Right now, we need to help ease this moment for him, holding space for his spiritual and physical healing and offering our support as he navigates this tragedy.

Beyond the emotional and physical toll, he is also facing another brutal reality—most of his belongings and music gear—the very equipment he supports himself and creates music with has been damaged or destroyed.

If you know Baseck, you know this isn’t just about stuff. His music is spiritual, a force that moves through him and out into the world. His sets are more than just sound—they’re moments of connection, energy, and transformation. He has always shown up for the community, giving his time, his craft, and his heart. Many people have felt the joy he brings through his music, and beyond that, he is simply a generous, loving soul—the kind of person who knows precisely when and how to give a good hug when it’s needed most.

This effort is about helping him get back on his feet. Healing will take time, but as a community, we can come together to ease this journey and provide the support he needs now.

This is the moment where we, his community, his scene, his people, show up for him. We’ve all raged to his sets, felt the energy of his craft, and been moved by his presence. Now, it’s time to give that energy back.

We’re raising funds to help him regain what he needs—to get him the essentials so he can keep creating, keep playing, and keep going.

Every bit counts.

Drop what you can. Share if you can’t. Let's hold the light for our brother Derrick “Baseck”."
