Apogaea Inc. is a Colorado Based 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation dedicated to the advancement of the arts. Within the organization, C.A.T.S. (Creative Art Team Support) gives $60,000 in annual grants to local & regional artists. Our 4th Annual Gayla serves as a FUNDRAISER for Apogaea, with all proceeds going directly towards funding Community Arts & Education Programs in the Denver Metro area.
Our last three Gaylas have been hugely successful in raising thousands of dollars in funds to redistribute directly back into various local art initiatives.
CATS most recently (Fall 2026) distributed nine $500 art teacher micro grants to local Front Range teachers, ranging from elementary and middle school art teachers to high school science (3D printing projects!) teachers + after school circus programs.
With just $3500, we will be supplying 2000 students with new art supplies for the school year.
Some of our teacher recipients have reported that, by receiving an art grant from us, they're actually DOUBLING their art supply budget for the school year.
Over the last 3 years, CATS spent raised GAYLA funds on:
$2,500 to Walsenburg Mural Fest - 2 Murals
$4,000 to Clara Brown Entrepreneurial Academy
(Elementary school art supplies, 9 potters wheels & assorted clay materials)
$4,500 to Rocky Mountain School of Expeditionary Learning
(hot knives for cutting foam, programmable LEDs, a membership to rent tools at the Denver Tool Library, materials to build seven different public art installations, safety materials for a full class of twenty-six, kids, and other tools for our maker space that will serve more than 400 kids aged K-12th grade every year)
